Tomb Raider [Greatest Hits] PlayStation Tomb Raider (Greatest Hits) is a reissue of the original Tomb Raider. Controlled from a third-person perspective, players assume the role of Lara Croft, a beautiful and world-renowned adventurer. Don't let her looks fool you – this archeologist loves to put her life on the line for the sake of thrills and treasure hunting.Her mission is to find and retrieve the ~Scion – an ancient artifact that has supreme power. It has been broken up and placed in large ~Aztec temples and dark and ominous caves and caverns. Her adventure unfolds throughout four gaming worlds that are broken down into 15 separate levels – each filled with dangerous traps, mysterious riddles and lots of life ending situations.Along the way, Lara will come across items essential to her journey. For example, certain temples require you to fix gears in order to open a specific door. In order to do this, you'll have to search for the gears or whatever else you need to progress throughout the level. Items (gears, health packs, and ammunition) you pick up are accessible from an in-game inventory ring.In addition to puzzle and riddle solving, from time to time you'll encounter enemy resistance – dinosaurs, bats, and bears oh my All joking aside, you can attempt to run away from them or fight them with one of your weapons. Lara's default weapon is a dual pistol combination and as you get further into the game, you'll come across shotguns and automatic rifles.The heroine doesn't count on her weaponry as the only method of survival – she can pull off various maneuvers to make navigating easier. Lara can dive underwater and swim, run, jump, sidestep, grab onto ledges and more. Each maneuver is essential in order to progress throughout the numerous locations.
